Fried rice with egg and ginger

Ingredients:

  • 200g cooked rice
  • 80g shredded old ginger
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/8 salt
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce

Method:

  1. Heat up sesame oil quick stir fry ginger shreds, add beaten eggs slowly.
  2. Add in cooked rice and salt. Stirring constantly over high heat till fragrant.
  3. Add in soy sauce sauce and stir well. Serve hot!

 

Fried rice with wolfberry and longans

Ingredients:

  • 1 bowl cooked rice
  • 2 tsp wolfberries rinsed
  • 30g dried longans rinsed
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 10g shredded old ginger
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp light soy sauce

Method:

  1. Heat wok with sesame oil and stir fry ginger.
  2. Add in egg and stir to scramble then add longans, cooked rice, salt, soy sauce. Mix well.
  3. Toss in wolfberries. Stir for 10 mins and serve!

 

 

Quinoa and millet porridge

Ingredients:

  • 50g millet
  • 50g quinoa
  • 20g pine nuts
  • 1 tbsp wolfberries rinsed
  • 5 pcs red dates seeded and halved
  • 10g dried longans
  • pinch of salt
  • 700ml water

Method:

  1. Rinse millet and quinoa separately and soak separately in water for 1 hour. Then drain.
  2. Add millet and quinoa together in a rice cooker with 700ml water and cook for about 45 mins.
  3. Add in pine nut, wolfberries, red dates and longans. Cook for another 15 mins.
  4. Season with pinch of salt.

Remarks:

Choice of minced pork or minced kampong chicken meat may be added.
